Bi-Annual Meeting Minutes 2005

The semi-Annual meeting of the Canadian National LPH Trial Association was held at
Fundy Trial Beagle Club on Saturday October 22, 2005. President Dan Kane called
meeting to order at 1:15pm.

The minutes of the 2003 Bi-Annual meeting were read. Motioned by Jim Merritt and
seconded by Coady MacDonald to accept the minutes as read …….All in Favour

Financial Report was read by Greg Steeves stating current balance was $2481.16 with
two outstanding items 1) $201 cheque to Wildlife materials, 2) $1000 to be paid to top
ten winners.

Motioned by Allan MacInnis seconded by Clair Murphy to accept the financial
statements as read ….. All in favour

Reading of Correspondence … nothing submitted

Committee reports …. nothing reported

Dan Kane explained the changes to Policy #2,4c, 5 and 8 called for a ratification vote
….all accepted by majority vote ……..All Accepted by majority vote.

Election of Executive Committee:

President: Dan Kane…Accepted
Vice President: Tom Murphy… Accepted by email
Sec/Treasurer: Greg Steeves … Accepted
Newfoundland Rep: nominee Gary Rumsey … Accepted
Quebec Rep: nominee Carl Golden … Accepted
Ontario Rep: nominee Coady MacDonald
Maritime Rep: nominee Clair Murphy …. declined, Eric Stooley… Accepted, Jim Merritt

A vote was held between Eric Stooley and Jim Merritt. The results were 8 votes Jim
and 6 votes Eric. Jim Merritt declared Maritimes Representative

New Business:

Motioned by John Monkman that the Regional award be reintroduced, seconded by
Paul Pazienza … All in favour. After discussion on this, a motion made by Eric May that
only hounds regionally qualified and placed at the trial be counted towards the
regional award for that year. Seconded by Chris Pawson ….. Passed by majority vote

Jim Merritt made a motion that the responsibility of the Sunday supper would be
rotated among the 4 Canadian regions.

The Regional director for the hosting region will be responsible for co-ordinating this
event those attending from such region.  Motion passed
