Minutes of the last (Oct. 2015) meeting
– The minutes of the 2015 bi-annual meeting were read. The minutes were approved as
read with no amendments. Motioned by Craig Champion, seconded by Dario Manna

Financial Report
– The treasurers report was read by Greg Steeves. The association’s bank balance at
October 16, 2017 was $6,359.13. The treasurer’s report was approved on a motion by
George Demeter, seconded by Dario Manna

Field Trial Report
– The 2015 and 2016 field trial reports were tabled and reviewed by Greg Steeves, field
trial reports were approved on a motion by Skip Griffin, seconded by Judy Walsh.

Election of officers were held the following positions were filled for a two year period

President – Clair Murphy Accepted
Vice President – Dennis Cooke … Accepted
Sec’t Treasurer – Greg Steeves …. Accepted

The Regional Monitors are as follows:

New Business:

Proposals:

 1. Proposal submitted by Chris Pawson, Ontario Region. I propose a motion that the
Canadian National LPH Association take custody of and reponsibility for the Purina All
Canada Awards – Submitted by Chris Pawson

It was moved by George Demeter and seconded by Skip Griffin that the National LPH
Association take over the responsibility for administering the Purina All-Canada Awards
Program Motion Approved


2. It is proposed that the Canadian National LPH Association at each bi-annual meeting
designate a Canadian Beagler website manager, and an alternate to operate and
maintain the site for the following two year period.

Motion: It was moved by Dennis Cook and seconded by George Steeves that Pauline
Pawson remain as Manager of the Canadian Beagler Website and Judy Walsh would be
her alternate for the next two years. MOTION CARRIED

It was further moved by Pauline Pawson, seconded by Judy Walsh that a Purina All
Canada Awards Program coordinator be appointed for a two year period. Motion
approved
The Chair called for nominations from the floor for the Coordinator position, Kim
Carrier was elected to the position for a two year period (nominated by Dario Manna)

2. I would suggest that if the executive and membership agree to this motion that they
review the policies and procedures for assigning these awards – submitted by Chris
Pawson,

On a motion by Craig Champion, seconded by Andrew Hudson the proposal was
approved. It was suggested that both AKC and CKC points be used towards the award

Motions from the floor:

It was motioned by George Demeter, seconded by Pauline Pawson that the National
LPH Association contribute $2,000 to the Fundy Trial Beagle Club to asist with the
construction costs of the new fenced running grounds. Motion approved
